A Jordanian military court sentenced yesterday, Sunday in the absence of the accused terrorist leader Abu Musab al Zarqawi and two other men to death. Alleged offense was a failed suicide attack last year.
positive aspects of the case: against the guilty verdicts can be appealed. Aus Prinzip ist das Todesurteil dennoch abzulehnen, weil es das Recht des Staates behauptet, einen Menschen ohne Notwehrsituation töten zu dürfen. Unrecht gegen Verbrecher ist und bleibt Unrecht.
Der Rechtsstaat darf nicht unrecht handeln. Deshalb ist auch mit dem Verbrecher Solidarität zu üben, wenn ihm Unrecht widerfahren soll.
